Introduced at the 1983 Photo Show, the Hanimex 35 ME is a compact film camera designed for simplicity . Produced in Hong Kong, this typical 1980s model is a simplified version of the Haking MW 35E, with a fixed-focus lens. No autofocus, no manual exposure adjustment: the idea here is to photograph easily , focusing on the subject, not on the settings.

With its 38mm lens , built-in telescopic flash , and a light cell that tells you when to activate the flash, the 35 ME is a perfect example of the minimalist ingenuity of the era.

The Hanimex 35 ME doesn't try to do everything: it does the essentials, and does them well . You frame, you shoot, and the camera takes care of the rest. The focus is fixed , which prevents any errors, and the light cell alerts you when conditions become too dark. You then simply pop out the telescopic flash , and the photo can be taken without worry, even indoors.

Apertures vary automatically according to film sensitivity (ASA/DX), to adapt to available light. The 38mm fixed lens is ideal for everyday scenes: portraits, cityscapes, candid moments.
